Lighthouse Bible Craft

This Lighthouse Bible craft is a fun and engaging way for kids to learn about faith and creativity. It combines the joy of crafting with the comforting message of Psalms 27:1a, helping children understand how God can be a guiding light in their lives. This activity is perfect for a Bible homeschooling lesson, or as an easy Sunday School craft.

What can this Bible Activity teach children?

Psalms 27:1a can help us teach our children about God’s guidance and protection in their lives. “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” can help teach that:

  1. God is a Guiding Light: Just like a lighthouse guides ships safely to shore, God provides direction in their lives.
  2. God Offers Salvation: He is a source of safety and rescue, offering hope in times of trouble.
  3. God Provides Comfort and Courage: With God as their protector, children can feel secure and fearless, knowing that they are never alone.

Materials Needed To Make A Lighthouse Bible Craft

How To Make a Lighthouse Craft

Step One Download and Print the Template: Start by downloading our free template, which includes all the pieces you’ll need for your lighthouse. Print it out and gather your colored cardstock.

Tear and Prepare Your Paper: For this craft, we’ll be using torn paper to create a textured and unique look. Begin by tearing blue cardstock paper into thick strips for the ocean waves. Use the template to make your cliff, stones, and bushes. We crumbled our stones and cliff to give it a more textured look.

Construct the Lighthouse: Using the template, cut out the lighthouse pieces from the colored paper. Assemble the lighthouse by gluing the red stripes onto the main structure, then add the black door and windows. We added some black details to the lighthouse with our black sharpie.

Assemble the Scene: Glue the blue torn paper strips onto your background paper to create the ocean. Add your brown cliff, glue your lighthouse to the cliff and add your greenery and rocks. Add your yellow glow from the lighthouse.

Add Final Touches: Use a marker to draw birds in the sky or any other details you’d like to include. Feel free to get creative!
