This coloring activity is a simple way to introduced the 9 Fruits of the Spirit that we find in the Bible. (Galatians 5: 22-23) It’s perfect for a homeschool Bible lesson or a Sunday School class activity.

What Are the Fruits of the Spirit?

  1. Love: Love is caring deeply for others, just like Jesus loves us, it means showing kindness and compassion for others.
  2. Joy: Joy is a deep, happy feeling that comes from knowing Jesus. It’s a happiness that stays with us, even when things aren’t perfect.
  3. Peace: Peace is a calm and restful heart that trusts God, knowing that he is in control.
  4. Patience: Patience is waiting and trusting that God’s timing is perfect, even when we don’t understand.
  5. Kindness: Kindness is being gentle and generous, reflecting God’s love in our actions.
  6. Goodness: Goodness is doing what is right and pleasing to God.
  7. Faithfulness: Faithfulness is being loyal and trustworthy.
  8. Gentleness: Gentleness is being tender and caring to others around you – especially those in need.
  9. Self-Control: Self-control is managing our thoughts, words, and actions in a way that honors God.

How To Make Fruits of the Spirit Craft

Step 1: Download and Print Template

Start by downloading and printing our free Fruit of the Spirit template. Each fruit is labeled with a different virtue, ready for your kids to color.

Step 2: Color the Fruits

Let your children’s creativity shine as they color each fruit. Encourage them to think about what each virtue means as they bring their fruits to life with vibrant colors.

Step 3: Cut Out the Fruits

Carefully cut out each colored fruit along the dotted lines. This is a great opportunity to practice fine motor skills.

Step 4: Create the Basket

Using brown construction or kraft paper, cut out a rectangle shape for a basket. Decorate the basket with markers to make it unique and personal. We decided to add horizontal and vertical lines to our basket. Glue your basket to our free background template.

Step 5: Add Green Grass and Fruits

Glue small strips of green to the top of your basket for your fruit to “sit on.” Once the basket is ready, glue each fruit onto the basket, arranging them however you like.
