My son loves dinosaurs, and if you have followed my site for any length of time, you probably already know that! 🙂   For the last few years he has requested a dinosaur themed birthday party and it’s been fun to add new activities and fun to his parties.  We started with our popular and easy DIY Dinosaur Cake, which also pair perfectly with out little dinosaur dirt cups.  We decided to add some fun diy party activities and these dinosaur coloring sheets are just perfect to print off and lay on the table for guests to color.  You can also print them off and staple them together to make a little book of coloring pages for each of your child’s friends.   These paper plate dinosaurs would also make a fun but more involved craft for a party! 

 

Preschool Dinosaur Coloring Sheets

When creating these coloring pages I wanted to make a set of printable coloring sheets that had multiple dinosaurs and were easier to color for younger children.  My son is now past preschool age and while he tends to prefer the more realistic and “scarier” dinosaur versions, these were still a blast for him to color! We made sure to add extra elements that can add dimension and color to the pages.  Who wants to only use a brown crayon to color a T-rex!  We added botanical elements & volcanos which adds to the story of the coloring page.

TIPS WHEN PRINTING: 

While regular printer paper works great for colored pencils and crayons I prefer to print our coloring pages on a slightly heavier paper. We have found this works much better when coloring with washable markers, like our 3D Dinosaur Coloring Activity.  It prevents leaking and the paper doesn’t get flimsy.
