  • white, green and yellow card stock
  • red ribbon (I used ¼ inch thick)
  • small red pom poms
  • yellow paint, I used KINGS GOLD in Apple Barrel at Walmart

Hot glue can be supplemented if the pieces stay on better. This is a great idea if you are storing them away each year so they don’t fall apart in storage.

How to Make Handprint Christmas Bells

Work on fine motor skills and more using this simple craft for little kids. It’s a great way to make a craft using your child’s hand; they look great hanging on the tree, windows, or fridge. Add it to your list of Christmas handprint crafts to complete each year.

  1. Trace and cut out your child’s handprints. You will need one for each hand if you want two bells.
  2. Paint the handprints yellow.
  3. While the paint is still wet, sprinkle the fine gold glitter on top. Shake off any excess. (optional)
  4. Cut out three holly leaves for each handprint. Glue them onto the palm area of the handprint.
  5. Add three red pom poms to one hand and a ribbon bow to the other.
  6. Cut out a horseshoe shape from yellow construction paper and glue it to the back of the handprint.

If you don’t want to use yellow construction paper to make the loop, you can use ribbon, string, or an ornament hook. Another option is to punch a small hole at the top and tie a string or ribbon, making it easy to hang up. Kids will have so much fun hanging them up around the house. It’s a fun way to decorate and incorporate your child’s touch.
