Cinnamon Applesauce Muffins: delicious and simple muffins that are bursting with a sweet cinnamon flavor.
Cinnamon Applesauce Muffins
.We love all kinds of muffins like our Banana Chocolate Chip Mini Muffins, Lemon Poppyseed Muffins and even our Gingerbread Muffins. These cinnamon applesauce muffins are moist, bursting with a cinnamon flavor, and come together really quickly. They go great with your dinner time meals or breakfast in the morning.
Sweet Little Crunch
As soon as these muffins come out of the oven and have the chance to cool slightly, dip them in some melted butter and then in a cinnamon sugar mixture. Once the muffins cool, the cinnamon sugar becomes a fun crunch that my kids just love. My younger son has a tendency to eat the top part of the muffin before he eats the rest 🙂

Great muffin. I used 1 cup whole wheat flour, 3/4 cup regular and only 1/4 cup butter + additional 1/4 cup applesauce. My kids dyed them blue for kids and LOVE them.
Dominique says
Good recipe. I think the eggs should be at room temperature as well. I had to start over because the eggs and butter wouldn’t incorporate and the butter firmed up again.

Hi! If I had homemade sweetened apple sauce could I omit the sugar with the butter??

Cosby sisters says
Good and crunchy topping but you should specify weather to soften the butter or not and should you mix the dry topping together before putting them in the batter. They were light and airy but it tasted like flour sort of. And they stuck to my cupcake liners but over all they were good

Do you add the 1/3 cup of sugar and the 1/2 cup of sugar?!
Katie says
Hi Theresa! You will add the 1/2 cup of sugar directly to the batter and then the 1/3 cup of sugar is just mixed with the cinnamon to dip in as the topping 🙂
