Pork Chops & Apples: a delicious and classic flavor combination. This dinner comes together in 30 minutes and is a yummy fall inspired dish.
Pork Chops & Apples
I’m not usually a sweet and savory type of gal. I pass on kettle corn popcorn and I’m not a huge fan of sweet fruits like strawberries in my salad. This recipe is delicious even for my picky palette that likes my sweets and savories separate. The pork chops are pan-fried to juicy perfection and the apples are cooked in a sweet cinnamon sugar spiced glaze that makes for a perfect topping for the pork chops. This meal can be prepare in about 30 minutes which is great for those busy weeknight meals.
What kind of apples go with pork chops?
I prefer to use Granny Smith apples or apple varieties that tend to be more tart such as a Pink Lady or a Honeycrisp. You are already adding your apples to a sweet glaze so starting with a tart apple helps them not be overly sweet. Feel free to use whatever apple your family likes best.
