TOILET PAPER ROLL CRAFTS
My oldest son loves dragons! To be honest, I have always loved dragons myself- whether it was reading medieval style books, watching movies or tv shows, I always enjoyed them. When we decided we wanted to add another fun creature to our collection of toilet paper roll crafts we immediately thought dragons. We played around with a few designs and ways we wanted to create it but in the end we decided to stick with an all paper craft was the best option and we just LOVE how this little fire-breathing dragon turned out.
FREE DRAGON PRINTABLE INCLUDED!
Now I know at first glance this dragon seems to have many different parts but we took all the hard work out of it for you and made a free printable template that you can use when crafting! Of course if you want to draw all the pieces yourself you are more than welcome!
TIPS FOR USING THE TEMPLATE:
PRINT ON COLORED PAPER: this is a great time saving tip! If you don’t have paper that will fit in your printer you can print the template on a white piece of paper, cut out the pieces and use them to trace the pieces on your colored paper.
DOTTED LINES: this is a “fold” line – fold on this line and use it to glue your pieces to the dragon, this gives your dragon a more three dimensional look and allows the pieces to lay nicely on the paper roll.
HOT GLUE: this should only be used my adults but we preferred to use hot glue on our FIRST piece to make sure it stayed on the toilet paper roll properly. You should be able to apply the rest of the pieces with a glue stick!

SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR PAPER ROLL DRAGON:
- Printable Template, grab it HERE!
- Toilet Paper Rolls
- Glue
- Googly Eyes
- Scissors
- Cut out your dragon pieces from the printed template. We printed it twice in the same color but two different shades and alternated the belly colors (which means no waste!) but you can keep it all the same color if you want!
- Wrap your solid rectangle piece around your toilet paper roll. We prefer to use hot glue for this step. Fold on the dotted lines of your wings and feet and glue your pieces on your paper roll dragon!
- Give your dragon some personality by adding a fire breathing tongue and some googly eyes! Easy Peasy!
