How to Make the Lollipop Craft

Creating this easy mother’s day craft involves only a few steps. Follow these step-by-step directions to make your own extra special gift for mom.

  1. Start by cutting out your FREE template pieces.
  2. Create a swirl starting from the outside of the circle working in (like a lollipop).
  3. Add face pieces towards the bottom so you can still see the swirl. Add a smile or a smirk to their faces.
  4. Attach the ribbons, eyes, and buttons to popsicle sticks. In order to make the child smaller, just move the lollipop part farther down the back of the lollipop stick.
  5. Glue to Free printable paper or add a sweet message! Use a personalized message or the one from the template.

If you want to make sure the googly eyes stick and the buttons don’t fall off, try using a hot glue gun. Older kids will be able to help with this, but younger children will need help.

Other Ways to Use This Easy Craft

Use for other occasions

Not only is this craft a great idea for Mother’s Day, it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day and other holidays. The message is a general message about someone being the sweetest, so you can customize it and use it any time you want to give someone a simple gift. As long as you have lollipop sticks and construction paper on hand, you can make this great gift.

Use other materials

Instead of attaching a piece of construction paper at the bottom of the lollipop, use a piece a tissue paper to make the craft pop out. I like using creative ways to jazz up a craft if you can customize it in your own way. Either way, it makes such a kind handmade gift for mom.

Gift to mother figures

All the other mom figures out there deserve a sweet gift. Be sure to give one of these lollipops to grandmothers, aunts, guardians, step-moms, and any other woman who holds a special place in your heart.

Turn it into a card

If you put the lollipops on a folded piece of paper, it becomes a sweet greeting card. It’s the perfect way to start someone’s mother’s day with a smile.
