The well known story of David and Goliath can be found in 1 Samuel 17. David was a young shepherd boy, but he trusted the Lord completely. With just a sling and five smooth stones, David faced the mighty warrior Goliath in battle and defeated him. He defeated Goliath not with strength or armor, but through God’s power. It’s a story of courage, faith, and God’s victory over fear.

How To Make This David and Goliath Bible Craft for Kids
Step 1: Color Your Characters
- Start by printing and coloring David and Goliath using the provided templates. Use the sample photo for inspiration, or let kids use their own creative color choices!
- Carefully cut around both characters and set them aside.
- Print your Mountain Template and glue it onto your base cardstock. Then, rip a piece of brown cardstock in a mostly straight line (it should be just over an inch tall) and glue it near the bottom of your page to create the foreground landscape.

Step 2: Position David and Goliath
- Glue Goliath between the mountains and David on the opposite side.
- Mount the Bible verse onto blue cardstock, trim around it, and glue it to the top of the page.
- Cut out rocks, grass, and bushes from the template and trace onto colored cardstock.
- Crumple and flatten the rock pieces for texture before gluing.
- Draw small “m” shapes on the bushes to add detail.
- Glue all pieces in place to complete the scene.
