HOW TO SMART COOKIE VIDEO:

This craft is amazing because it requires minimal supplies. Make your own chocolate chip cookie using just a few craft supplies. Find everything you need at Walmart, the local craft store, and even the Dollar Store.

  • Light/Medium Brown cardstock
  • Black Pipe Cleaners
  • Dark brown paint
  • Large googly eyes
  • White ribbon
  • Black Sharpie
  • liquid glue **

I recommend using liquid glue to attach the pipe cleaner glasses. A glue stick won’t do the trick, and the glasses will fall off very easily. This is the same for the googly eyes. ** Parents can also use hot glue – this is my preferred method for a speedy craft.

Making this craft is super simple; just follow the instructions below. If you don’t have pipe cleaners, you can use a black marker to draw the glasses instead. The pipe cleaners are just a fun way to make the craft pop out.

  1. Fold over your brown paper, trace and cut out a circle shape being careful to leave some of the top circle uncut so it can open like a card.
  2. Add facial features, including glasses and googly eyes. You can make the glasses by cutting a pipe cleaner in half and making two circle shapes. Glue in place and add a nose piece and two ear pieces.
  3. Add brown dots with brown paint and a q-tip.
  4. Add a bow if desired.

You can make the brown dots larger by rubbing the q-tip around a little bit. If you can, make them different sizes, just like chocolate chips would be on a real cookie.
