How To Make a Let your Light Shine Bible Craft

Step 1: Prepare the Lightbulb Pieces

Using this template, cut out three to 4 (we chose 3) lightbulbs from your yellow cardstock. This color choice is perfect for simulating the bright, glowing effect of a lightbulb.

Step 2: Create the 3D Lightbulb

Fold each lightbulb cutout in half vertically. Then, glue them together edge-to-edge. This stacking and gluing will create a lovely 3D effect, making the lightbulb appear to stand out from the paper.

Glue your lightbulb to your black piece of cardstock. Using this template, cut out and glue your “Jesus is my Light” word box to your black paper.

Step Three: Add the Details

Take the middle lightbulb cutouts and draw the filament lines inside it. These lines represent the wires and elements inside a real lightbulb, adding a touch of realism to your craft. Add details to the base of the lightbulb (grey piece)

Cut out small rectangles of yellow cardstock and glue around lightbulb to make it look like your lightbulb is shining.

This craft is a great activity to pair with a Sunday school lesson plan. It’s also a great project for Bible camps, vacation Bible school, or just a quiet afternoon of crafting at home.

Crafts like these are more than just a fun activity; they are a meaningful way to connect with Biblical themes and express one’s faith creatively.
