Materials Needed To Make a Handprint Spider
- Printable spider web template
- Black cardstock
- Pink cardstock
- Googly eyes (different sizes)
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- White paint pen or marker
How To Make a Handprint Spider
Step 1: Print The Template
Start by printing the spider web template. This will serve as the base for your craft, adding a fun Halloween background to your spider.
Step 2: Trace and Cut The Handprint
Trace your child’s hand on black cardstock and carefully cut out the shape. Make sure the fingers point down when positioning the handprint on the paper — these will be the spider’s legs! If your child doesn’t like having their hand traced you can use our free handprint template to make your own!
Another fun option is to paint your child’s hand black and have them press their hand down into the same area! This is a fun way to capture your little ones handprint in a more personalized way.
Step 3: Add Googly Eyes
