HOW TO VIDEO:

Materials Needed for Bubble Wrap Flowers

Find all of the craft supplies you need at the local craft store or Dollar Tree. The only thing you may have to hunt down is the bubble wrap. These days, they use different bubble wraps in packages, but traditional bubble wrap is still sold in hardware stores.

  • Bubble Wrap – cut into different-sized circles
  • Paint in purple, blue, and pink
  • Cardstock 8 x 11
  • Green Marker

You can also use green paint if you don’t want to use a marker to make your stems and leaves.

How to Make Bubble Wrap Flowers

Follow these simple step-by-step instructions to make your own beautiful bouquet of flowers. The finished product makes an adorable card for any occasion or a craft to hang up on the wall.

  1. Apply paint to the bubble side of your bubble wrap. Using two hands, flip and place the paint side down on the piece of paper. Lightly press and slowly pull up. It leaves a nice stamped image.
  2. Repeat with the remaining flowers.
  3. Use your green marker to draw leaves on the flowers and stems once the paint is dry.

Tip: You will want to press the bubble wrap flowers down semi-quickly because the paint may dry fast. Either work “quickly” or be prepared to redip your piece of bubble wrap. You can either dip the bubble wrap into a pool of paint on a plate or use a small paint brush to apply the paint each time.

Hydrangea Craft

These bubble flowers look like a bouquet of some of my favorite flowers- hydrangeas! While you can make these bubble flowers be any color of the rainbow…if you want to stick with classic hydrangea hues you will want to stick with blues, whites, pinks and purples.

Uses for This Fun and Simple Craft

Once kids are done with the craft, what do you do with it? Crafts always look amazing hung up on the walls or make sweet gifts. Depending on the time of year, these activities make great gifts for Mother’s Day or Grandparent’s Day! Give them with a bouquet of fresh flowers and put a smile on a loved one’s face.

Use the flower design to decorate cards, walls, boxes, and so much more. Cut the bubble wrap smaller for a mini flower effect and just have fun laying down the prints on different materials.
