Torn Paper Tulip
We LOVE torn paper crafts here at Made to be a Momma and this Torn Paper Tulip is the perfect springtime activity that is both cheerful and bright while also helping kids practice their fine motor skills!
My son’s favorite flowers are tulips, and I love how they, along with daffodils, are one of the first signs that spring is on its way. Seeing those bright blooms pop up after a long winter in Pennsylvania is always a cheerful reminder that warmer days are finally making their way back!

How To Make a Torn Paper Tulip
Step 1: Preparing Your Tulip Pieces
- Start by tearing your lighter pink pieces of cardstock into small pieces. This is great for developing pincer muscles in kids hands!
- Cut out your remaining tulip pieces from our Free Tulip Template. You will need a black smile, green leaves and two darker pink cheeks.
- Cut the tulip shape and trace lightly onto your white cardstock. This will act as the outline for where to add your pink paper.

Step 2: Make the Flower Shape
- Glue your torn pieces of paper inside the drawn flower outline. Glue pieces until fully filled in.

Step 3: Adding the Ground and Leaves
- Tear a piece of brown paper to match the width of your white cardstock. Glue at the bottom of your paper. This will act as the “dirt.”
- Glue your green steam and leaves at the base of your flower.
- Add line details to your leaves with a green marker if desired.

Step 4: Add Personality!
- Glue on your googly eyes, mouth and cheeks.

Why Kids Will Love This Craft:
