How To Make a Basketball Buddy
Step 1: Create the Basketball
- Using our free basketball template, start by cutting out a large circle from orange cardstock to form the basketball’s body.
- Cut out your remaining pieces from your template. You will need two arms, two legs and a smile from your black cardstock and two pink cheeks from your pink cardstock.

Step 2: Color Your Shoes & Add Details
- Use a black marker to draw the traditional curved lines of a basketball.
- Color your shoes in your favorite colors. Cut out.

Step 3: Add Arms & Legs
Glue your arms and legs to your basketball. Glue your colored shoes to the bottom of your legs.

Step 4: Add Facial Features
- Glue on googly eyes to give your basketball character a fun expression. We decided to add one large one and one small one to add extra silliness.
- Cut out a small black paper smile and glue it in place.
- For extra cuteness, add small pink circles as cheeks.
- Cut your colored sweatband from your template and lay across your basketball glue in place. Once glued, trim off the excess following the shape of the basketball.
