Try making these delicious marshmallow snowman treats with your kids to enjoy with a cup of hot cocoa! They are simple and taste so yummy.

Winter is a fun time to make little treats for kids. Not only are these marshmallow treats tasty to eat, but they are so much fun to make. The great thing about this recipe is that it’s simple enough for older kids to make and enjoy. If your kids are younger and having a hard time making the face designs with the icing bottles they can have fun dipping the marshmallows in the powdered sugar, sort the M&M’s in colors, and place them on the snowman. 🙂

My family and I love having simple activities like this ready throughout those colder months when we are stuck inside. Sure, we go out when it snows, but it’s nice to have something on standby when I hear the kids say, “I’m bored.” This is a perfectly simple craft and treats to keep on hand!

Materials Needed for a Marshmallow Snowman:

Decorating these snowmen is tons of fun. Just grab these ingredients from the grocery store or a locaal craft store.

  • LARGE campfire marshmallows, these are the ones I bought
  • cookie icing in green, blue, orange, black and red **
  • mini m&ms
  • Powdered sugar

**If you don’t want to buy colored cooking icing (as they can be pricey – however we will not use all of it and you can pop the top back on and save it for another treat) The food decorating gel works but leaves the snowmen a little tacky, so packaging them is a bit tricky. The cooking icing dries hard for a little less mess.
