Roasted Parmesan Asparagus

This asparagus recipe is a spin-off of our popular roasted parmesan green beans. So many of you have sent emails telling me you loved this recipe with green beans and wanted to try it with asparagus.  I’m here to tell you that yes, this recipe is just as delicious swapping the green beans for asparagus.  Oh, and a little secret…it’s great with broccoli as well! 🙂

Simple Ingredients. Flavorful dish. 

The ingredient list for this delicious side dish is simple and brings out the natural flavors of your veggies. The Panko bread crumbs and parmesan cheese adds a touch of crunch to every bite. Roasting veggies is one of my favorite ways to get my veggies in for the day.  It’s easy, only requires one pan, and is something you can pop in the oven while you are focusing on your main meal.

How to make Roasted Asparagus

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Wash and trim bottom of asparagus.
  3. Place asparagus on a large rimmed baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle on garlic powder, Panko bread crumbs, and cheese. 
  5. Roast for 15-20 minutes- depending on thickness.

Make it a Meal

We love to serve veggies at dinner time. It’s a great way to round out your plate with something healthy and delicious.  Some of our favorite dishes to pair these with are our oven glazed pork chops, honey balsamic chicken drumsticks, and herbed chicken fettuccine.

Roasted Parmesan Green Beans- delicious fresh green beans are roasted with a crunchy mixture of parmesan cheese and panko bread crumbs.  They make the perfect side dish for any meal.

  • 1 lb fresh asparagus washed and trimmed
  • 2 TBSP olive oil
  • 2 TBSP Grated or Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 TBSP Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder


  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Place asparagus on a large rimmed baking sheet
  • Drizzle with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle on garlic powder, salt, cheese and bread crumbs.
  • Roast for 15-20 minutes, depending on thickness.
