Pork chops is one of my favorite dinner options but I find baking them can be so finicky! No one likes a dry, tasteless pork chop and these oven glazed pork chops are anything but flavorless! These oven glazed pork chops start off in a flavorful brown sugar marinade and is then baked to perfection with a sweet and slightly tangy tomato based sauce. They are delicious as a weeknight meal for your family and just fancy enough for company! 🙂

What cut of pork should I use for these Oven Glazed Pork Chops?

The key to keeping these pork chops nice and juicy are using bone-in pork chops, also known as rib chop, it has a bone running down one side of the pork chop which results in a more tender and flavorful cut of pork.  I always try to find a center cut rib chop.  You can use boneless pork chops but you will need to cut down on the baking time to be sure it doesn’t dry out. You will want your internal temperature to be 145° and let it rest for 3-5 minutes as it will continue to bake and re-absorb it’s juices.

How long should I marinate my pork chops?

I recommend letting your pork chops marinade for 2-4 hours for the best results.  You can also prepare the marinade in the morning and let them sit until dinner time that night.  This can be prepared the night before and used the next day if needed as well.
