I don’t know about you, but one of the easiest items to bring to a party is a veggie tray. You can buy them pre-made, but what’s the fun in that. I like to add a little flair to them with some homemade touches. It makes it fun for both the kids and the adults. This Easter Bunny Veggie Tray is a fun spin on the traditional veggie tray. It incorporates all of the veggies you would normally add, just with an adorable bunny face! It’s easy for kids to help make, too. I’ll show you how I prep everything for this Easter side dish.

What Do I Need to Make the Easter Tray?

The Easter Bunny Veggie Tray is perfect for Easter dinner or an Easter celebration. It pairs nicely with a fruit tray and is an easy Easter appetizer for any event or get-together. It’s a simple and healthy snack board idea.

To make this Easter bunny treat, you need some fresh vegetables and a delicious dip. Here’s what I use:

  • Ritz Crackers (or other cracker of choice)
  • Red Peppers (and others if you want)
  • Black Olives
  • Celery
  • Cucumber Slices
  • Broccoli Florets
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Vegetable Dip – You can use my recipe here

Your other favorite veggies can also be added, just incorporate them on the bunny’s face in a cute way. Any veggie will go great on this veggie dip tray. As long as you use narrow cuts for your vegetables, you can fit a lot on the board. It’s a fun way to hopefully get kids to eat their vegetables!

How to Assemble the Easter Bunny Veggie Tray

The easy steps below are how we arrange our bunny tray, but feel free to arrange your cute bunny any way you’d like. Letting the kids help always makes for an exciting time in the kitchen, so get creative and have fun.

  1. Start by adding the creamy dip to a bowl and place it in the middle of your tray.
  2. Add bunny ears by laying two lines of ritz crackers next to each other and ending with one at the top to look like an ear.
  3. Slice your red pepper thin and place them in the center of the crackers to look like the inside of the bunny’s ears.
  4. To make the bunny’s eyes, use two olive circles. We use black olives, but you can also use kalamata olives.
  5. Cut olives into small pieces to make the bunny smile.
  6. Add thin celery whiskers and a cherry tomato nose (I cut it in half)
  7. Then just fill the tray with your favorite veggies. We love using carrots, broccoli, and cucumbers but you can add whichever vegetables your family likes best.

If you don’t prefer Ritz crackers, use your favorite crackers, crisps, or pretzels. Pretzels are always a great choice as well. If you are creative, try using the veggies or crackers to form the bunny’s body. We usually just do the head but the possibilities are endless with this simple Easter Bunny Veggie Tray. This veggie tray is sure to be a big hit at your spring and Easter gatherings.

What Are Good Vegetables for a Veggie Tray?

We love peppers, broccoli, carrots, and cucumber in our house but there are tons of great veggies to use on this veggie tray. A juicy grape tomato, head of cauliflower, a variety of olives, and other fresh veggies are great additions to the Easter veggie tray. If you are a fruit lover, fresh fruits can easily be added as well or you can even create a similar bunny face with our fruit dip!

Which Dressing or Dip Should I Use with the Vegetables?

Grocery stores carry tons of great pre-made veggie dips but we love this Easy Homemade Vegetable Dip. All you need is some sour cream, Worchester sauce, parsley flakes, mayo, and a few other simple ingredients and you have a delicious dip. The dip pairs great with vegetables, crackers, and pretzels. My kids love it and the adults do too. We use it with this Easter Veggie Tray and any dip platter we make. It stores great in an airtight container and can be used throughout the week with any leftover vegetables.
