How To Make The Father’s Day Grill Card Craft

Step 1: Cut Out the Grill Base

  • Start by printing and cutting out your grill shape from dark gray cardstock that has been folded. You will want to make sure the edge of the grill template is on the fold so it opens as a card once traced and cut out.
  • Trace and cut one handprint from red cardstock and one from orange cardstock. These will be your flames! Glue the orange handprint slightly behind the red to give a layered fire look, then attach them behind the top of the grill.

Step 2: Add Legs and a Face

  • Cut two simple black strips for the grill legs and glue them to the bottom. Then, attach googly eyes to the front of the grill and use a black Sharpie to draw a happy smile underneath. (Optional: Add eyebrows or grill lines for extra fun!)
  • Add line details to your grill spatula and attach to the front of your grill.

Step 3: Add a Message Inside

  • Flip the card open and write a message like: “You’re the best Dad I’ve ever ‘grilled’ with!” or “You light up our lives like a grill on game day!”
