How To Make a Torn Paper Popsicle
Step 1: Prepare the Popsicle Shape
Use the popsicle template to trace the outline of a popsicle onto your piece of white cardstock. This will serve as a guide for how big to make your popsicle and where to divide the colorful sections.

Step 2: Tear and Create Color Sections
Select your cardstock colors: one set for one popsicle (dark pink, light pink, and orange) and another set for the second popsicle (dark blue, light blue, and mint). Tear these papers into small pieces.

Step 3: Add the Sticks and Facial Features
Cut two popsicle sticks from kraft paper. Glue these at the bottom of each popsicle shape to complete the classic look.
For the facial features, stick googly eyes on each popsicle. Use a black marker to draw smirks, adding a playful expression to each. The pink popsicle can have additional eyelashes for a charming effect.

Crafty Tips:
- Let kids choose their color combinations and facial expressions to express their creativity.
- If you are doing this with a large class you can pre-tear the paper so all they have to do is paste their colorful paper down. Keep in mind that tearing paper is a great fine motor skill exercise for little ones so giving them a chance to tear the paper, even for just one color section, would be a great learning experience for them!
