Materials Needed To Make A Paper Roll Frog Craft
- Toilet paper roll
- Green paper (primary green and a lime green)
- Frog template
- Eyeball Template
- Cardstock (black and red)
- Glue or Tape ( I prefer to use tape or hot glue)
- Pencil (for curling the tongue)
- Scissors

How to Make a Paper Roll Frog
Step 1: Prepare The Body
- Using our template, cut out your template pieces from the corresponding colored cardstock.

Step 2: Build the Frog
- Wrap the toilet paper roll with the primary green paper.
- Glue the lighter green belly to the front of the roll.
- Glue the black cardstock and glue it just above the belly.
- Wrap the red piece of paper around a pencil to give it a playful curl.
- Glue it to the black mouth.

Step Three:
- Using the eyeball template, cut out two small circles from white or light green paper, and glue them onto slightly larger green circles cut from the lime green paper. These will be the frog’s eyes.
- Attach these eyes to the top of the toilet paper roll, positioning them so they appear to be popping out of the frog’s head.

Step Four:
- Using the two strips meant for the frogs leg, fold the top and bottom of each strip towards a center fold line to form the frog’s legs.
- Apply glue carefully to the ends and attach them to the sides of the toilet paper roll, slightly closer to the belly than directly on the sides. This positioning allows the legs to be more visible and gives a better three-dimensional look.

Tips and Tricks
- Add spots, dots, or patterns using markers to give each frog its own personality.
- Googly eyes make this frog craft even more playful and silly.
- If you have younger kids crafting, pre-cut some of the pieces ahead of time for easier assembly.
- Make several frogs in different shades of green and create an entire frog family.
- A tiny bit of hot glue works great for keeping the tongue and legs securely attached.
