How To Make a Fork Painted Easter Chick
Step 1: Preparing the Background

- With a pencil, very lightly draw a “hill” like body guideline for where you will create your chick’s body.

Step 2: Paint the Chick’s Body
- Pour a small amount of yellow paint onto a plate.
- Dip the back of a plastic fork into the paint and press it onto the paper being sure to fill the area you lightly marked.
- Let the paint dry completely.

Step 3: Add the Chick’s Face & Bunny Ears
Using our template cut the following pieces and glue in place.
- Glue two googly eyes onto the painted area.
- Cut a small orange triangle for the beak and glue it between the eyes.
- Cut two small pink circles for cheeks and attach them below the eyes.
- Cut two small yellow wings and glue in place.
- Cut out your egg shell and color in your words “HAPPY Easter” glue your egg in place.

Crafty Tips for Success:
- Use cardstock or thicker paper for the base so the paint doesn’t wrinkle the page.
- Cut out all the pieces ahead of time for younger kids to make assembly easier and more fun.
- Let kids experiment with the fork strokes—long swipes, dabs, or swirls—to create different feather textures.
- Attach a magnet to the back to turn your chick into a fun Easter fridge decoration.
- Write kids’ names and the year on the back to create a keepsake for parents or grandparents.
