I LOVE playing games and I have ever since I was a little girl. My parents used to have a game night with their friends almost every weekend when my siblings and I were younger. We always had a blast having our own game nights with our friends on those special nights.   Many birthday parties, holiday get togethers and just because nights were filled with playing games. I remember as a little girl playing Hungry Hippos with my Dad and trying desperately to get Princess Lolly from Candy Land before my Mom or sister did.  Now that I am a Mom I really enjoy watching my children enjoy some of the same games I did growing up. I decided to round up some of my favorite board games for kids and even found a few fun Printable games to try! Make sure you keep scrolling because I also put together a fun little list of my favorite snack ideas for kids from Tastefully Simple’s Family Game Night Menu that would be perfect for a family game night that is all about the kiddos!

Board Games 1

#1. Candy Land – it’s a classic and perfect for kids learning their colors and is a great beginner game as well!

#2. Chutes and Ladders – another classic I enjoyed playing while growing up. This is another great game for the littles one.

#3. Hungry Hippos – okay, I know there isn’t much “learning” to this game but who doesn’t like a game that’s all about eating the most amount of marbles. Trust me, it can get a bit competitive 🙂

#4. Uno – again, this is a classic that I grew up playing and my 4 almost 5 year old loves it! It’s a great game for kids learning their numbers and being able to match colors.  You may need to just take out the “extra” cards (“Skip”,  “Draw Four”, etc) at first until they get the hang of it.

#5. Clue– Loved this game growing up!

#6. Matching Games – we all love matching games right?! Great for teaching kids memorization.

#7. Guess Who – a great game for teaching the process of elimination by asking questions.

#8. Eye Found It – similar to Where’s Waldo but in a fun Disney theme 🙂
