Fall season is filled with pumpkin patch visits, comfy nights, and football. This easy football turkey craft is a fun paper craft for the kids to do during the fall season. It’s also fun for the kids to do Thanksgiving morning before dinner and the big Thanksgiving football game.

You only need a few simple supplies and if you craft with your kids even just a little bit you probably have everything you already need 🙂

Supplies for Football Turkey Paper Craft:

Red, Yellow, Orange, and Brown (two shades) construction paper
Scissors
Glue stick – you can also use hot glue to finish it faster but only with adults help
Googly eyes
White crayon
Cloths pin (optional)

Football Turkey Paper Craft

There are just a few simple steps to follow and if your kids can handle scissors this is even a craft they can start and finish all on their own.

Cut a 8×2.5 inch and 6×2 inch strips of brown paper for the head and body. Attach the eyes about two inches from the bottom of the short paper using a glue stick. While the eyes are drying, cut out a beak using the orange paper and a snood using the red paper. Fold the beak over 1/4” and attach just under the eyes. Use a glue stick to attach the snood in the beak.
Put a line of glue on the long strip of paper to attach both ends and create a circle. Pinch and hold with your finger or use a clothes pin to secure until dry.
Cut out two 2x 1/2 inch strips of orange paper for the feet. Glue them together at a 45 degree angle and attach to the body. Use your fingers to pinch in to place or use a clothes pin to secure until dry.
Glue the head to the body and use clothes pins to hold both the head and body together until dry.
Fold a piece of brown construction paper in half and use a white crayon to draw football shapes for the feathers. Cut them out using scissors and draw football strings.Glue five feathers together and set aside.
Attach the body to the head, then add the feathers to the bottom circle. Make sure to hold in place until they dry to prevent them from falling off.

* You may use hot glue for the above steps which will make this project go much faster but should only be used with Adults.
