Instead of tracing, you can paint your child’s hand with blue paint and stamp it directly onto the paper. From there, you can either:

Materials Needed To Make A Handprint Flag

  • Cardstock- white, blue and red
  • Foam Stars
  • Do a Dot Marker, if desired
  • Scissors
  • Glue

How to Make a Handprint Flag Craft

Step One:

  • Trace your child’s hand onto a piece of blue paper and cut out. Alternatively you can paint your child’s hand blue and stamp it onto a piece of white paper.
  • Cut out (5) 1 inch red strips of paper.

Step Two:

  • If desired, stamp red dots from your Do a Dot’s onto your stripes.

Step Three:

  • Glue your red stripes to your white paper, trying to keep an equal space between them. Trim your top two stripes to stop underneath your blue handprint.
  • Glue your handprint to the top left corner.
  • Add foam glitter stars to the handprint.
