How to Make a Chocolate Chip Bakery Craft
STEP ONE:
- Start off by drawing vertical lines onto your white cardstock. We chose to do this with pink but you can use whatever color you desire!

STEP TWO:
- Cut a piece of paper, in your desired color, to fit the bottom 1/3rd of your background piece.

STEP THREE:
- From our free template, cut out your oval plate and your Bakery graphic, if using.
- Outline the outer edges with light blue and add another oval shape inside if desired. Most of the inner oval gets covered when you glue on the cookies.

STEP FOUR:
- Draw three cookie-sized circles onto a piece of watercolor paper using your brown tempera paint stick. We used two different shades of brown so that when we brushed watercolor over the top, it created natural variation and texture — just like real baked cookies!

STEP FIVE:
- Watercolor the insides of your cookies. We love the Crayola watercolor pallet because you can mix colors on the door to create your favorite shades.

STEP SIX:
- Once dry, make little circles with your tempera paint sticks to create little chocolate chips.
- Cut out each cookie. We like to do a little “sticker cut,” which means leaving a small white border around the edge to help the cookies stand out once they’re glued onto the plate.

STEP SEVEN:
- Glue your plate to the background piece. Glue your cookies on top.
- Add the “Bakery” words template if desired.
