Bible Verse Christmas Tree
Bring the heart of Christmas to life with this simple and meaningful Bible Verse Christmas Tree craft! Inspired by the words of Isaiah 9:6, this craft project is a fun and creative way to help kids focus on the true reason we celebrate the season. Whether you’re crafting together at home or in a Sunday School class, this hands-on activity is perfect for sharing the story of Jesus while making sweet holiday memories.
We created two ways to create this craft that makes it simple and enjoyable for kids of all ages and skill levels.
- Mini Pom-Pom Version: This version is perfect for the younger crafters who love adding colorful, tactile elements to their crafts. It helps develop fine motor skills as they glue on the pom-poms and creates a playful, whimsical Christmas tree look.
- Glitter and Solid Green Paper Version: Designed with slightly older kids in mind, this version focuses more adding glittery details with our strips of green and glitter paper. It encourages attention to detail, allowing older children to practice cutting, layering and precision (having longer strips on the bottom and shorter on the top) while creating a tree that’s both meaningful and beautiful.

How To Make a Bible Verse Christmas Tree
Step 1: Print the Template
- Start by printing off the free Bible Verse tree template on green cardstock. Alternatively, you can cut your own rectangle pieces. You will want to start with a long strip and a get a tad shorter as you go. You can then write the words to the Bible verse on your strips of paper if desired.
- Cut out the paper strips with Isaiah 9:6 written on them. If you’re using your own paper, write each line of the verse on green paper strips.

Step 2: Assemble the Tree:
- Glue the paper strips onto a blank sheet of paper, arranging them to form a Christmas tree shape.
- Add a gold foam star sticker to the top and glue a brown paper stump at the base of the tree.

Step 3: Decorate:
- For older kids, alternate between glittery and solid green paper strips for a polished, sophisticated look.
- For younger children, use mini pom-poms to decorate the tree for a playful, colorful touch.

This Bible Verse Christmas Tree is more than just a fun holiday activity—it’s a chance to focus on the true meaning of Christmas with your kids. Through crafting and storytelling, you’ll build lasting memories and remind them of God’s greatest gift to us.
