This cute llama craft is a fun colorful craft centered around a mini canvas, mini pom poms, and a touch of paint!
This mini canvas llama craft adds a little color to your day with a cute face and colorful pom poms. Kids of all ages love llamas because they are quirky, cute, fluffy and often seen wearing colorful accessories like hats, pom poms and blankets. Llamas are playful and whimsical and kids just tend to be drawn to them.
This easy llama craft is perfect for preteens to make to place on a bookshelf, shelf or on top of their dresser in their room. It’s also easy enough for young crafters to make a display.
Materials Needed To Make a Mini Llama Craft
- Mini Canvas and Easel, a 3 in square or 4 inch square is what we used **
- Sharpie
- Paint, light brown and pink
- Pom Poms, rainbow of colors and black
- White felt
- Q-tips
** I found the mini canvas and easel in Walmarts craft section but most craft stores should have them. You can also find a set of them from Amazon which is perfect for craft nights or birthday parties!
How To Make a Mini Canvas Pom Pom LLama
Step 1: Make the Llama nose
Using a small paint brush, paint a small oval at the bottom of your canvas.
Step 2: Creating the Face
Using your black sharpie add two small eyes and eyelashes. Use a q-tip and pink paint to add two light cheeks to either side of the llama nose.
Step 3: Adding Pom Poms
Add your black pom pom at the top of your brown nose and draw a smile below it. Add a pom pom headband at the top of your mini canvas.
Step 4: Add white felt ears
Cut out two white ears from your white felt. Glue to the top of your mini canvas.
