How To Make a DIY Wrist Parrot Craft
Step 1: Prepare the Parrot’s Body
Start by using our free parrot template to cut out all the necessary pieces you need! Wrap your main piece around the roll and secure it with glue or tape to form the body of your parrot.

Step 2: Add Wings and Details
Cut out wing shapes from your choice of colorful cardstock. You can add details to the wings using markers or colored pencils to create patterns like feathers.
Glue the wings to the sides of the toilet paper roll.

Step 3: Create the Face
For the parrot’s mouth, cut a beak shape from orange cardstock and glue it onto the face area.
Draw eyes above the beak using markers. Alternatively, you can use googly eyes for a more animated look.
Use colored pencils to add rosy cheeks just below the eyes.

Step 4: Attach the Feathers
Tape several feathers to the back and top of the parrot’s head for a vibrant, plumage effect. This brings your parrot to life and adds a fantastic texture. Just make sure you bottom parrot feathers face AWAY from your wrist so it sits on your wrist properly.

Step 5: Prepare the Wristband
Use a hole punch to make two holes on either side at the bottom of the toilet paper roll.
Thread a pipe cleaner through the holes and adjust it to fit comfortably around a child’s wrist. Secure the ends by twisting them together.
