How to Make a Colorful Paper City
STEP ONE:
Create Your Building Shapes
Cut out a variety of rectangles in different colors and sizes to use as the building bases. OR use our free template to trace and cut shapes to recreate our skyline
Create Doors and Windows
Cut smaller rectangles and squares from white paper to make windows and doors. Add window and door details with a black Sharpie marker.

STEP TWO:
Add roof details to your triangles with crayons, markers or colored pencils.

STEP THREE:
Assemble Your City
Glue all your buildings onto a piece of cardstock. Layer some taller ones in the back and shorter ones in front to create a little cityscape. Top all of your buildings with your desired roof pieces.

STEP FOUR:
Add Doors and Windows
Glue your windows and doors to your desired buildings.

STEP FIVE:
Give Them Personality
Add googly eyes, glue on pink cheeks (we made our cheeks using a hole punch), and use a black marker to make silly or sweet smiles. Let each building have its own “face” and expression!
