Make you own Bleach Pen with three simple ingredients! Tutorial found on: madetobeamomma.com

Don’t you just love simple inexpensive ways to save money.  This homemade bleach pen definitely adds a little bit of green back into your pocket and you know what…it works just as well!  You only need three simple ingredients to make your own bleach pen and it lasts along time!  It’s perfect for those pesky grass stains kids get on their white clothes and perfect for some fun crafting projects as well.   I store this bleach in a cake decorating/ ketchup bottle type of container. However, I will make sure I keep it in a dark place at all times or I may cover the outside with duck tape as I have learned that the sunlight can lower the effectiveness of the bleach.  If you have an extra glue bottle laying around that would work great as well.

What you will need:

1 cup water

3 Tbsp. cornstarch

4-5 Tbsp. bleach

Place water and cornstarch in a small saucepan and place on low heat.  Stir mixture until color becomes translucent. Allow mixture to come to a boil and remove from stove immediately. The mixture will be thick.  Allow to cool completely.  As the mixture is cooling, stir occasionally.  Once mixture is room temperature add your bleach one tablespoon at a time.  I suggest starting with 2-3  tablespoons and increasing a bit if needed.  The mixture will become a tad bit watery after it sits for a little while.  I found that for crafting projects, 4-5 tablespoons worked great!

Please use all safety precautions and follow directions on the bottle when working with bleach and making your own homemade products.
