For all my fellow Mommas out there or really anyone that has spent any time in the hospital knows that a nurse can definitely make things easier or much more nerve wracking and delivering a child is no simple task 🙂 no matter how many children you have! We welcomed our sweet little Addy Girl just a few days before Thanksgiving, November 24th.
Thankfully I was extremely blessed with great nurses! All of them were extremely nice…some were nicer than others…but overall they helped calm my nerves and make a painful and sometimes nerve wracking situation much more bearable. Honestly the nurses are who are with you the most….they hold your hand…literally… and tell you to keep going when you just don’t want to.
Both times after my delivery with my boys I had wished I had something special for the nurses to share my appreciation so this time I was determined to make little thank you boxes. They are nothing big and nothing expensive but I knew it would put a smile on their face…or at least that’s what I had hoped for! I found these cute little cardboard boxes at Pick Your Plum but you could find something similar at your local craft stores or online. Here is a plain box I found that you could either paint or just leave plain and dress it up with ribbon.
I picked out three popular snack size candies and put them in the box. You could always fill the boxes with mini hand sanitizers, lotions or lip balm. I chose candy because what nurse can’t use a little chocolate surge after a long shift right?
I added a fun little gift tag to celebrate the coming of our little Addy and tied it together with some colorful bakers twine.
Here you can print either a boy version or a girl version. Make sure you Right Click the image to open it in a new tab so that it uploads in full pixels and isn’t grainy, save as to your computer, open it in a program like Word, resize to the size you want and print!

This is such a cute idea, and I’m sure the nurses really appreciated this! I’ll have to keep this idea in mind, thank you for sharing.
