Materials Needed To Make A 3D Tulip Craft

- Optional: heart templates for younger kids

How to Make a 3D Paper Heart Tulip Craft
STEP ONE:
- Cut out three hearts for each flower. For a pretty layered tulip look, use one darker heart for the center and two lighter hearts for the outer petals.
- Fold your outer heart petals in half. There is no need to fold your bottom heart.

STEP TWO:
- Put glue on just one side of the folded heart, then press it onto the base heart. Match the rounded tops together and angle the pointed end slightly outward. Leave the other side unglued so it lifts up and gives your tulip a fun 3D look. Repeat with the other side.

STEP THREE:
- Cut out your base shape with our template. Fold over the top edge of your pot to give it a 3D look that pops off the page. Add line details with a marker if desired.

STEP FOUR:
- Glue your background piece (8.5 x 11 inch cardstock) onto a slightly larger piece of construction paper or cardstock. Press it down well, then trim around the edges so everything lines up neatly.
- Glue your pot to your white cardstock piece.
- Glue your stems above the pot.
- Glue small hearts to act as leaves onto your stems.

STEP FIVE:
- Glue your tulip heart flowers at the top of your stems.
