  • Googly Eyes
  • Black Pom Pom
  • Glue

How To Make a Popsicle Stick Arctic Fox

Creating a Popsicle Stick Arctic Fox is a straightforward and enjoyable process. Here’s how you can make your own.

Step 1: Preparing the Popsicle Sticks

Paint three regular Popsicle sticks white and let them dry. Once dry, glue them together side-by-side to form a flat panel. This will be the body of the fox.

Step 2: Creating the Face

Cut a triangle from the white cardstock to fit behind the Popsicle sticks, with the point of the triangle forming the nose of the fox. Glue this triangle to the back of the Popsicle sticks.

Step 3: Adding Ears

Cut out two triangle shapes for the ears from the white cardstock. Then, cut smaller triangles from the light gray cardstock and glue them inside the white triangles to create a layered effect. Attach these ears to the top of the Popsicle stick panel.

Step 4: Making the Heart-Shaped Sides

Cut out a white heart shape from the glitter felt. Slice the heart in half down the middle and glue each half to either side of the Popsicle stick panel. These represent the fluffy sides of the fox. *

* If you can’t find glitter felt you can DIY your own! Just add a layer of glitter Mod Podge to your cut face shapes and let dry completely! Mod Podge goes on cloudy but will dry clear leaving you a fun pop of glitter that won’t fall off! 🙂

Step 5: Finishing Touches

Add the black pom pom to the point of the triangle for the nose. Then, glue the googly eyes above the nose to complete your Arctic Fox’s face.

Creative Variations of Popsicle Stick Arctic Fox

Once you’ve mastered the basic design, you can get creative with your Arctic Fox:

  • Color Variations: Try using different shades of white and gray to add depth to your fox.
  • Size Adjustments: Make smaller or larger versions of the fox by adjusting the size of the Popsicle sticks and cardstock pieces.
  • Additional Decorations: Add glitter, sequins, or other decorations to give your fox a unique personality.
