Boys Transporation Room is a fun place for brothers to play.
With both of my pregnancies with my boys I got into a major nesting frenzy right around 20 weeks. This time I may be pregnant with our first little girl but I’m still going through that “nesting” stage. I have tons of projects and things I want to get done around the house “before baby comes” and my boys shared room was on of the top rooms I wanted to get accomplished.
Before we even knew we were pregnant we put our boys together in the biggest bedroom of the house and hubby and I moved to one of the smallest 🙂 We figured they use their room more than we do. We also recently transitioned my youngest son from a toddler car bed to a big boy bed and he LOVES it! I think their room turned out so fun and they just love it. They are big into cars, trucks, airplanes and just about anything transportation so that’s what I tried to bring into their room .
In my house I like to keep things simple. I don’t have fancy carpets and end tables for my boys full of pictures and knick knacks because my boys are crazy and things would get broken everyday 🙂 As they get older and I find good deals I’ll be sure to add some more special touches.
I’m so excited to be a part of the DIY Behr Expert Program this year with a handful of some of then most talented home decor/craft bloggers out there! I can’t wait to show you some of the rooms we have been working on throughout the rest of this year.
I wanted to keep the boys room mostly light in color being that their room has two windows and is at the back of the house so I went with Behr Marquee Granite Dust MQ3-6 and I love how bright their room is. For their green accent wall I went with Behr Ultra Plus Luck of the Irish P380-7 and I love how it pulls the green from their bedding out. My oldest son’s favorite color is green right now so he is thrilled with how it turned out!
My fellow Behr DIY Experts are showing off some of their own paint projects as well and you can find a list of all of the projects on the Colorfully, Behr blog! Be sure to head on over around and check them out!
