A spin on your classic French toast recipe, this pumpkin French toast uses a delicious pumpkin spice flavor that is a blend of warm spices, rich pumpkin, and brown sugar that makes for the perfect fall breakfast!
15slicesbread, we prefer challah or brioche*any thicker style bread will work
½cuppumpkin puree
4large eggs
⅔cupof milk
3tbsp.brown sugar
2tbspflour
1 ½tspvanilla
1 ½tsppumpkin pie spice
½tspground cinnamon
¼tspground nutmeg
Pinchof salt
Instructions
Add all the ingredients (except the bread) to a medium-sized bowl or shallow dish. Whisk until smooth.
Heat a griddle to 350°F. Lightly grease with oil or nonstick cooking spray.
Dunk a slice of bread in the French toast mixture, covering each side. Gently wipe/shake off any excess batter.
Grill for 2-4 minutes on one side until golden, then flip and continue frying on the second side until both sides are golden and the bread begins to puff.
