Pumpkin French Toast

A spin on your classic French toast recipe, this pumpkin French toast uses a delicious pumpkin spice flavor that is a blend of warm spices, rich pumpkin, and brown sugar that makes for the perfect fall breakfast!

Ingredients

  • 15 slices bread, we prefer challah or brioche *any thicker style bread will work
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • 4 large eggs
  • cup of milk
  • 3 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla
  • 1 ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients (except the bread) to a medium-sized bowl or shallow dish. Whisk until smooth.
  • Heat a griddle to 350°F. Lightly grease with oil or nonstick cooking spray.
  • Dunk a slice of bread in the French toast mixture, covering each side. Gently wipe/shake off any excess batter.
  • Grill for 2-4 minutes on one side until golden, then flip and continue frying on the second side until both sides are golden and the bread begins to puff.
