Can you believe growing up I was never a fan of chocolate, at least not in the milk or dark variations.  I would always pick white chocolate over milk chocolate.  However; I feel as though ever since I was pregnant with my first baby my taste buds have changed.  I used to HATE yogurt but now I really enjoy it. Chocolate….step aside white and give me all the milk chocolate now 🙂  Those little babies really change so much about our bodies don’t they 🙂  Whether you prefer white chocolate or milk chocolate these peanut butter stuffed pretzels are sure to be a hit…of course if you don’t like peanut butter then you will just have to leave that part out but I’m assuming you stopped by because of the peanut butter goodness that is stuffed inside these pretzels.

You can really use any pretzel you like for this treat.  I wanted to use something a big thinner than a sourdough hard pretzel because those are a little harder for my kids to eat, so I opted for the slighter smaller pretzels but mini twists would be fun for the kids too.

HOW TO MAKE PEANUT BUTTER STUFFED CHOCOLATE PRETZELS:

First you will want to “stuff” you pretzels with creamy peanut butter.  Once all your pretzels are stuffed pop them in the freezer for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.  You want the peanut butter to set a bit so it doesn’t make a mess when dipping it in the chocolate.

Once you peanut butter has had the chance to set, dip your pretzels in some melted chocolate. You can use white or milk.  I like to use candy melts as they harden much faster.   Transfer your pretzels back to your baking pan.  If you want to fill in the pretzel holes just spoon some melted chocolate into the holes.

While your base chocolate is still wet add any sprinkles or embellishments that you wish.  Place pretzels in refrigerator until chocolate hardens about 10-15 minutes.  We prefer to store our leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.  It helps keep the chocolate from melting quickly in your fingertips.   These are such a great treat to serve at your holiday parties or to bag them up and share with a friend!
