Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies
A classic peanut butter cookie baked until soft and topped with a chocolate Hershey kiss. Roll cookie dough in colored sugar for festive holiday cookies.

1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup sugar, plus more for rolling 1/2 cup light brown sugar 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter 1 egg 2 TBSP milk 1 1/2 tsp vanilla 1 3/4 cup flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 36 Hershey kisses, unwrapped Red and Green Sanding Sugar optional
Cream butter and sugars. Add peanut butter and blend until smooth. Add egg, milk and vanilla.
Next add the flour, baking soda and salt. Mix just until combined. Refrigerate for 30 minutes if the dough is too sticky to roll.
Roll dough into 1″ balls. Roll in sugar and then place onto prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 7-9 minutes at 350 degrees or until very lightly browned on the bottoms.
Press Hershey's kiss into cookie immediately after the cookies comes out of the oven.
