Pork Chops & Apples: a delicious and classic flavor combination.  This dinner comes together in 30 minutes and is a yummy fall inspired dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter, divided
  • 4 boneless pork chops, roughly 4 ounces each
  • 2 TBSP brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • dash of salt
  • 4 medium apples, cut thin I like to use tart apples such as Granny Smith

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter. Add pork chops; cook 4-5 minutes over medium heat on each side or until a thermometer reads 145°. 
  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.Remove chops, wrap in foil to stay warm. 
  • Melt remaining butter in pan. Add apples and brown sugar mixture. Cook and stir until apples are tender. Serve with chops.
