Homemade Chocolate Sauce

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips you can also use milk chocolate chips for a sweeter sauce


  • Place cocoa, milk, honey, and salt in a small saucepan. Whisk over medium-low heat until the mixture is thick and the cocoa has completely dissolved. Remove from heat and add vanilla and chocolate chips. Stir until chocolate chips have melted.
  • Pour into jar or air-tight covered container. Cool to room temperature, cover and store in the refrigerator.
