Ingredients

  • FREE Apple template FOUND HERE
  • Cardstock paper black, red, lime green, dark green, and white
  • Large googly eyes
  • Black Sharpie
  • Glue stick

Instructions

  • Prepare the Base: Begin by printing our FREE template or drawing an apple template on a piece of cardstock paper. This will serve as the base for your torn paper apple craft.
  • Tear Paper and Fill the Apple Shape: Provide the children with pieces of construction paper and let them tear them into small chunks. Encourage them to use the different types of paper to fill the apple shape, creating a visually appealing texture.
  • Add Stem and Leaf: Cut a small brown stem from the cardstock paper and glue it on the top center of the apple shape. For the leaf, fold a piece of lime green paper in half and then open it to add some dimension. Glue the leaf beside the stem.
  • Enhance the Apple: Let the kids unleash their creativity by adding some personality to the torn paper apple. Glue large googly eyes in the upper half of the apple. Use a black sharpie to draw a friendly smile on the apple's face or cut a smile shape out with black cardstock.
  • Finishing Touches: To give the apple craft a more realistic look, use white cardstock paper to add paper highlights on the googly eyes. Also, consider adding some cute eyelashes on both sides of the apple's face.
