Paper Plate Scarecrow

An adorable paper plate scarecrow craft that kids of all ages will love to make to celebrate the Fall season!

Ingredients

  • paper plate dessert size is what we use
  • paint, flesh/tan color
  • cardstock yellow and brown
  • foam orange
  • buttons light pink
  • free googly eye template (link below)
  • sunflower sticker, or faux flower
  • sharpie or paint pen black
  • free Scarecrow Hat Template found here!

Instructions

  • First, paint your paper plate and let it dry completely.
  • While your plate dries, cut out your hat piece using the template.
  • Cut out your hair pieces using yellow strips of paper. Cut longer pieces for a girl scarecrow and shorter for a boy, or any way you would like them to look.
  • Add your face elements, including eyelashes, if you wish. This includes the eyes and triangle nose out of orange paper. Draw a crooked line for the scarecrow’s smile and add dashed lines across it for the stitching.
  • Finally, add your sunflower to the hat.
