Ingredients

Oat Crumble

  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, cold & diced

Berry Filling

  • 5 cups mixed berries, raspberries, blackberries & blueberries
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Oat Crumble

  • In a small food processor pulse sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • With a wooden spoon mix in rolled oats. I like my oats to stay their size without getting blended down with the other ingredients.   Set aside.

Berry Filling

  • In a large bowl mix together filling ingredients until berries are covered with flour.
  • Pour filling ingredients in a 9x9 in greased baking pan.
  • Spoon crumb topping on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until crisp is bubbling and the crumb topping is golden brown.
