Gingerbread Cookie Bars

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp cloves
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Store bought/homemade cream cheese frosting
  • 1/2 cup chopped cranberries

Instructions

  • In a bowl, cream together sugars and butter together until creamy. Mix in molasses, vanilla and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients until blended. Press into a greased 9in. x 9in. pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 325 ingredients. Cool completely before topping with cream cheese frosting and chopped cranberries.
