Hey guys, this is Lauren visiting from the food blog Tastes Better From Scratch and I’m so excited to be guest blogging today! I was fortunate to meet Katie at a blog conference a few months ago and she is the sweetest! I was pregnant at the time and she made me the cutest little bows for my baby girl. She also made these adorable cloth business card holders–talk about a talented girl with great taste! I love reading her blog in hopes that her craftiness will rub off on me!
Even though I’m not the craftiest DIY-er, I do know how to handle myself in the kitchen! Today I’m excited to share this super easy and delicious Slow Cooker Creamed Corn! This dish would make the easiest side for Thanksgiving–it has just five ingredients and can be thrown together in minutes! Whether you have an opinion about creamed corn or not, you’ve got to try this recipe!
3 (15.25-ounces) cans whole kernel corn, drained
1 cup milk
2 tsp sugar
1/4 teaspoon pepper
8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut chunks
Place corn into slow cooker. Stir in milk, sugar and pepper until well combined. Without stirring, top with butter and cream cheese. Cover and cook on high heat for 2-3 hours.
Uncover and stir until butter and cream cheese mixed in. Cover and cook on high heat for an additional 10 minutes.
