If you follow me on Instagram (Find me @madetobeamomma) you got a sneak peak of this project yesterday! I am officially making the switch to fall/thanksgiving projects! I know Halloween isn’t quite here yet, but I just couldn’t wait to start showing you some fun autumn themed projects—I’m already working on some Christmas Fun. (Oh-the life of a blogger!) This pumpkin art is so simple but makes a fun cute statement! Pumpkins are one of my favorite things to decorate with. Pumpkins work well for halloween AND thanksgiving.
Heat N’ Bond
Cut out a piece of fabric matching the size and shape of your frame. I placed my fabric on top of a piece of felt as well for some extra stiffness. Following the. directions of your Heat N’ Bond package cut out a stem shape with your green fabric and a pumpkin shape with your orange fabric. You can also follow the beginning instructions from THIS POST. Iron your shapes on to your main piece of fabric
Zig Zag stitch around your pumpkin and stem. I also zig zagged lines on the pumpkin to give it more dimension. I found these super fun spools of multicolored thread and it adds a special touch to this project.
Attach a bow made from twine to your pumpkin. Hot glue your pumpkin art to the back of your painted frame.
I may be linked up to any one of these great parties!
