PINEAPPLE GREEN SMOOTHIE
My mornings are always better when I’m sure I fill my body with what it needs. Now, I enjoy pancakes, french toast and other sweet breakfast items but this green smoothie is a fast, delicious, and vitamin filled smoothie recipe that even your kids will love! The first time I made this recipe my kids were so excited to drink a “green colored” drink. They were completely unaware what causes that pretty bright green color. They have asked for this smoothie multiple times a week since I first gave it to them. 🙂
SPINACH PINEAPPLE BANANA SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS:
This smoothie recipe calls for minimal ingredients which makes this an easy on-the-go breakfast option for the weekend or a weekday!
- MILK– we prefer to use 1 % dairy milk but you can easily swap for almond milk or your milk of choice.
- YOGURT – we prefer to use a vanilla flavored plain or greek yogurt. We like the added flavor it adds but if you are trying to stay away from that kind of yogurt you can use plain greek yogurt. You may want to add a touch of honey if you like your smoothies sweeter.
- SPINACH- this is the special ingredient that adds all the vitamins to your smoothie along with the pretty bright green color.
- FRUIT– our favorite mix is a frozen banana and some frozen pineapple. You can also use mango or even your favorite berries. Keep in mind that the berries will produce a yummy shake but a not some pretty color 🙂
*To add an extra punch of protein you can also add a scoop of your favorite protein powder

I didn’t have any yogurt so I used vanilla flavored plant protein added a bit more milk and used the pineapple /mango combo. Came out pretty good! Can def taste the vanilla notes of my protein powder but I think it compliments the shake. 👌🏽
