These Oreo bat cookie sticks are such a blast! While we aren’t “big” into Halloween, we do really enjoy our halloween treats. I love when my children have a request for a certain snack and we are able to put it together even better than I thought! We were looking on Pinterest over the last few days and we saw all these cute little bat cupcakes. We decided to put our own spin on the fun halloween bat. You only need a few simple ingredients and you may already have them on hand. These are great for halloween trick or treat parties. They are great for school functions if you are allowed to pass such things out. You can even wrap them individually and place them in a boo-basket 🙂 You can skip the lollipop stick part if you would rather. I would suggest serving them the same day you make them. The cookies will begin to go stale if you wait a few days.
Ingredients for Oreo Bat Cookie Sticks:
- Wilton Chocolate Candy Melts
- Double Stuffed Oreo Cookies, it’s easier to insert the lollipop stick
- Mini Oreo’s
- Wilton Black Sparkle Gel
- Lollipop sticks
- White Sprinkles, optional
- Wilton Chocolate and Candy Melts Melting pot, optional
Melt your chocolate candy melts according to the package or in a melting pot. Take one Oreo cookie and split it in half. Take the side without the icing and cut it in half. Place the two pieces on a silpat with the two points touching to create a “wing” look. Place a full Oreo cookie in the melted chocolate and cover completely. Carefully place it on top of the Oreo wings.
Break apart two mini Oreo cookies and place them on top of the Oreo while the chocolate is still warm. Using your black icing gel, add two pupils to the Oreo eyes.
We also added two small white sprinkles to our warm chocolate to create fangs 🙂 You can skip that part if you want and it will still look adorable!
