Boy are you in for a treat today! Remember earlier this month I shared a delicious Vanilla Bean Chai Snickerdoodle recipe? I had the chance to try out Tastefully Simple’s German Chocolate My Mug Cake. I couldn’t wait to try it and decided to add my own fun flare that will be great for the holidays! With Christmas coming soon, peppermint recipes will begin to take over pumpkin recipes and what’s better than chocolate and mint?!
These cake mixes are so simple to put together. All you need to do is fill the provided mug with 3 TBSP of water, stir in the cake mix and pop it into the microwave for 1 minute. To add a fun holiday flavor I added 1/2 tsp of mint extract to the cake mix before heating through. Top the cake with some mint chocolate chip ice cream and drizzle with a bit of chocolate syrup. My husband LOVES chocolate cake and loves ice cream just as much so to say he really enjoyed this dessert would be an understatement! These My Mug cakes would make a great gift for your neighbor, friend or anyone who loves cake!
